Comprehensive Wound Assessment: Successful wound care is dependent not only on local care of the wound, but also understanding the etiology of the wound, addressing systematic issues, and assessing the whole patient. The session is a foundation of a better understanding of modern, generic & evidence based wound care. Wound Hygiene Discussion of the further evolution of the Wound Hygiene concept focusing on how and when to implement for all tissue types of hard-to-heal wounds and applying the 4 Steps of Wound Hygiene. Pressure Injury/Ulcer Classification & Moisture Associated Skin Damage To provide an overview of pressure ulcer/injury (PU/PI) classification and the differences between PU/PI and Moisture-Associated Skin Damage (MASD).
